Magic of laughter
Laughter has an unusual power - it's contagious, but it doesn't hurt you, and yet laughter makes us immune to stress, helps us defeat our opponents, and also to cheer up friends. Today laughter makes staggering career, that's why some people out there decided that they can actually make money off from it.
The first symptom of satisfaction is a smile, of joy - laughter. It is bright, as well as noisy, coarse, thunderous or squeaky. Laughter, given only to human beings can truly make miracles. That's why its power is used as a therapy. In some American hospitals, they employ clowns, in others, they play comedies to make patients laugh. Scientists claim that treatment in this atmosphere is favourable to rehabilitation, it livens patients up and gives them more power to deal with their problems.
Laughter not only has a big influence on our psychical health but it also affects our physical condition.
Laughter discharges our negative emotions, improves our mood and appeases pain. This is caused by endorphins, which are set apart during laughter, they are also called "hormones of happiness". Scientists proved that people who laugh, often live longer and have better health then gloomy people.
During laughter, almost every muscle in our body is working, blood is circulating faster, and the heart is working harder. We're breathing faster so our brain can get more oxygen. A lot of oversensitive people suffer because it isn't very difficult to hurt their feelings. They are reacting to it with sarcasm and hostility or they suffer in silence. That's because they rarely laugh. They are fighting a loosing battle. If they only smiled a bit during their live, they would find a relief from their suffering. Obviously laughter is not always good.
Laughter is also a wonderful weapon. When u meet an enemy on your way, if u are brave, try to laugh into ones face. There is nothing better to captivate your enemy like just laughter. But don't laugh at your friends, just laugh with them together! During everyday life we can find out that laughter has magic abilities. We willingly meet with people who are cheerful and have a sense of humour.
It is very difficult to smile when we feel not up to the mark. Everybody is able to smile when they are feeling good, but the best art of life is to smile even when everything is other way round. Fortunately, the most important thing is how we feel, not what happened, and we can control our feelings.
To finish my speech I'd like to quote one very useful maxim:
Laugh and the word laughs with you, cry and you cry alone!
